The Bank of England (the Bank) and the Department for Business and Trade (the DBT) have worked together to develop a survey to collect information about UK businesses’ investment decision-making and access to alternative sources of finance. We have commissioned DJS Research Ltd to conduct the survey on our behalf.
The results of the survey will inform policy-making and ensure that both the Bank and the DBT have a good understanding of the policies that affect businesses’ investment and access to finance. The information collected will help us better understand the different sources of financing for businesses, the barriers to accessing finance from these sources and the impact that this may have on subsequent business investment. Better understanding of these issues will help the Bank and the DBT meet their objectives to promote financial stability and foster investment, productivity, and economic growth.
The survey is currently open and DJS Research are working with a host of companies to collect the information relevant for policy-making. If you are contacted by DJS Research to partake in the survey, we would really welcome your participation in the survey.
This webpage will be updated with relevant publications using the survey data once all the data has been collected and analysed.
